Our laminate countertop BEVEL edge is a traditional beveled edge and BEVEL backsplash. Although beveled edges and beveled backsplashes for laminate countertops have been around for decades, we make ours different. Instead of applying separate pieces of laminate to the faces, we use a single piece of laminate and a very precise miter fold to allow the laminate pattern to flow from one face to the other leaving one less seam.
Laminate Countertop BEVEL Edge Components
The substrate (backside or base) we use to manufacture our laminate countertop BEVEL edge and BEVEL backsplash is MR-50 rated moisture resistant medium density fiberboard (MDF). For our beveled edges and beveled backsplashes, HPL (High-Pressure Laminate a.k.a. the laminate) is glued and pressed to the substrate using high strength glue. Both ends of every piece are finished with a 90-degree cut.
All materials used in manufacturing Loti Corp edges are either no or low VOC and all of the surface and seam materials are considered waterproof.

BEVEL Edge Installation
Our laminate countertop BEVEL edge and BEVEL backsplash can be installed by anyone with decent carpentry skills and tools. The tools and skills needed to install our beveled laminate countertop edges and beveled backsplashes are common for carpenters and countertop fabricators.
A miter saw and optionally a disk sander are needed to cut to length and miter the corners. Our BEVEL edges and BEVEL backsplashes are composed of MDF and laminate, so no special blades are needed for cutting.
Masking tape and good waterproof wood glue, such as Titebond® III, are all that is needed for attaching our BEVEL edges to the countertop’s substrate. A damp rag is recommended for cleaning up squeeze out glue.
Finally, a good wax surface treatment is recommended if you wish to really make it shine. We recommend PROTECTALL™ Shine Plus. It’s great for the laminate countertop as well.
